The box above was crafted from butternut.
It came from a one hundred fifty year old ,
well worn, and oft' prayed over church pew.
My friend the Rev. Jim Brand is a fine wood turner and artisan. He makes the most wonderful chalices from all kinds of wood and in many, many styles and designs. He will even do carving - like the United Methodist Chalice at the right.
