Wood Scraps
Wood Scraps
I am an ordained clergyman. Ever since my Dad let me take apart old clocks and oil burner controls and save the tiny brass parts in those neat little metal Bandaid boxes I have enjoyed working with my hands. I love to make things. I love to fix things. I approach these tasks as if they were all holy tasks.
I like tools. I especially like good, old tools. One might say I am tool poor. I believe it helps to have the right tool for the right job, but limited tools should not limit one's imagination or the quality of one's work.
God has gifted me with the ability to do beautiful work with my hands. I give God all the credit, and dedicate my work, and my working to God. I like to employ all the senses while I am working. i.e. sight, smell, listening, and especially touch. Touch is very important.
After serving God, working wood is my first love and greatest passion.  I enjoy other right brain activities as well. i.e. Needlepoint, Water Colors, Wood Turning, and Wood Carving.
